As a seasoned OD consultant, Michele started working in Talent Development in 1985. She immediately became involved in chapter leadership. In fact, during her term as president of the Iowa Chapter of ATD, membership reached a record of 385 members! Her board was responsible for launching the very first Career Development Day and created the Trainer’s Institute. It tickles her to know these value-added benefits to membership have been preserved all these years! In 1991 she founded Inspiring Solutions and in 2011 was the first recipient of the “Impact to Business” award from the chapter for cultural transformation at Matagorda Regional Medical Center near Houston, TX. For over 30 years she has worked with organizations throughout the United States from a variety of industries, specializing in healthcare. Inspiring Solutions is an award-winning partner for Wiley Workplace Learning Solutions, publishers of the Everything DiSC resources. She is certified in The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team. She is a Certified Speaking Professional, a designation earned by fewer than 10% of professional speakers worldwide. She is known as “The Attitude Adjuster” because she has written several books and training videos on the topic of attitudes, including her best-selling book Attitude: The Choice is Yours and a video/LMS program called ATTITUDE! Resolving Difficult Situations in the Workplace. In 2020, the company was acquired by JER HR Group and now provides both on-site and online talent development. Since 2005 Michele's had a strategic partnership with Custom Learning Systems out of Calgary, Canada to design and implement a revolutionary 3-year process to enhance patient, employee and physician engagement within healthcare. She has since worked with over 50 hospitals and healthcare organizations to improve the patient experience and employee engagement. Her clients appreciate her unique ability to challenge the minds and touch the hearts of people at any level within an organization, from the board of directors, middle management to the front-line staff.
