Understanding Styles: Better Communication

Presenter: Shea Carpenter

This is an interactive personal development training that focuses on various communication styles and how to identify your particular style. Social Styles are predictable patterns of actions that others can observe and agree upon for describing one's behaviors. All styles are successful and get results. We all have style range and the ability to flex or adapt based on the situation.

Shea Carpenter has worked in this industry for 15 years and has a huge passion for people and finding ways that she can help them be truly fulfilled with what they do. She strongly believes that life is far too short to go through the motions 8 hours every day and to live with the “is it Friday yet” attitude. Every single day there is an abundance of opportunities to make a difference in someone else’s life, no matter what you do, you just have to look for them. She is passionate about what she does because no matter where she is in the world, no matter what language people speak, and culture that surrounds them, people are people. The foundation is how well we all communicate and treat one another. The fact that The Carden Group helps fill those gaps and provides relevant ideas to truly impact that in people’s lives, is exactly why she knows this is what she is meant to do. “Everything we do here at TCG is to bring fulfillment to the workplace. If you see every interaction as an opportunity to make a positive difference, all those interactions will grow into not only a fulfilling career but a fulfilling life.” She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado, where she earned her degree in Communications Studies. She was the president of the student athletic body and led the NCAA All American Academic Team with a 4.0 GPA. Before joining TCG, Shea was a district sales manager for a travel firm where she produced multi-million dollars in sales and traveled all over the world while creating lasting experiences with her clients.
