Facilitator Bio:
Kayla Paulson, CVA is a seasoned Community and Volunteer Engagement Professional, Trainer, and Coach who brings over 15 years of expertise in empowering mission-driven organizations to unlock the full potential of their people. As the founder of Kayla Paulson, LLC, she partners with nonprofits, associations, and public-sector leaders to rethink how they engage, support, and lead staff and volunteers for greater impact.
A passionate advocate for the value of engaging with the community and volunteers, Kayla is a Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA) and a frequent speaker, facilitator, and thought partner across the national civic and nonprofit sectors. She has led regional volunteer centers, delivered the Service Enterprise Program since the national pilot (2012), and served in leadership roles at state, regional, and national levels to help improve volunteer engagement practices and to galvanize the profession.
Kayla is also a reDirect SEE Coach, helping individuals and organizations build effective, sustainable environments where teams thrive through clarity, collaboration, and meaningful engagement. With a national reputation for practical, people-centered strategies, she’s known for equipping leaders with the tools to create inclusive, mission-aligned systems that cultivate belonging and drive results.

The purpose of the Non-Profit SIG is to serve our communities and help enhance employee engagement at non-profit organizations in Central Iowa by offering high-quality leadership and personal development training at no cost to individuals who work for local non-profits. It is free to all nonprofit leaders, regardless of whether they have a membership with ATD.

The Non-Profit SIG meets every fourth Friday of each month from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Meetings are held virtually via Zoom.
